Practice Areas

Business Law

My main practice area is in the representation of small businesses and family businesses. Because of my experience in different practice areas, I am able to assist business owners in all of their legal needs. I like to be the first call a business owner makes, when a legal issue surfaces.

Formation of New Business

When you are starting a new business, you can use help.  We work with people at this stage; selecting the type of entity, obtaining IRS and New Jersey identification numbers, etc.  There are many issues we can cover together when you are starting a new business.

Business Bad Debt Collection

Most businesses have issues regarding collections. They may be the ones who are owed money or the ones who owe money. It is the basis of many disputes. This is an area in which I can assist a business owner to resolve the issues efficiently.

Real Estate

Whether the property is for business or personal use, I am able to handle all types of real estate matters like transactions, leases, deeds, mortgages and much more.

Estate Planning and Wills

As part of my representation of business owners, I frequently work with them on their estate plans. My approach to estate planning is broad. Usually, this work can be done on a fixed fee basis as well.

Estate Administration

This area of law is mostly about helping a family member organize and transfer a decedent’s assets. Whether I have drafted the decedent’s will, or if another attorney has drafted the will, even if the decedent had no will, I can assist in the administration process. I am able to make the process simple for my clients.

Tax Problem Resolution

Many times, individuals run into problems with either the IRS or the State of New Jersey. I have extensive experience in dealing with both organizations and can reduce the anxiety of these issues for my clients.

Outside Counsel Role

I like to have the role of “outside counsel.” In a large organization, there would be an attorney on staff. In smaller organizations, it is not practical. Instead, my clients are able to contact me on various matters. If their question involves a practice area outside the scope of my expertise, I bring in those attorneys with whom I have a relationship. My clients are comfortable knowing that I am participating in the resolution of the issues.
